Large Wooden Wall Mirror

Installing a large wall mirror can be quite tricky. You have to make sure you install the mirror safely and securely. Οtherwise the results can be disastrous. There are a few things you will need to keep in mind when you want to install a large mirror. If you want to install a large unframed mirror you will need a few things. You will need mirror mounting brackets, number 2 pencil, drywall anchor bolts, a head screw driver, a hammer, a measuring tape and a long flat nail. These are essential things that will come in handy.

The first thing you will have to do is lift your wall mirror where you want to place it and then square it up. With a pencil mark the bottom, top and the side edges of the place where you want to place the mirror. Then take down the mirror. With a measuring tape mark the top and the bottom of the place. Line up the brackets on the mark and mark the holes where the brackets will be screwed into the wall. Then you will need to test the strength of the walls.

To find out whether your wall is strong enough you will have to take a nail and hammer it into the middle of the marks of drill holes. Drill the nail halfway. If there is a stud behind the wall where you want to hang the wall mirror you will find it difficult to drill in further. If there is a stud you will only need a screw. However, if you can drill without any resistance you will need an anchor bolt for the hole to make sure your mirror does not fall off.

After you know whether you need a screw or an anchor bolt to install your wall mirror you will have to hammer the anchor bolts into the hole for a drywall until the anchor bolt is flush to the surface of the wall. With your screwdriver line up the brackets along the screw hole and drill in the screws for each bracket on the bottom where you will hang the mirror. Make sure each of the screws is screwed in properly. Slide the mirror into the bracket and line them with screw holes for the top ones. Screw the brackets into the wall. Now double check the brackets, tighten the button and you are done!
