Everyone needs to have a wall mirror in his place and it is always a nice addition at the decoration of your home. The best way to combine the benefits that a wall mirror always provides with an artistic decoration touch is lighted wall mirrors.

Usage

Lighted wall mirrors are often placed in bathrooms, in most situations not as decorative elements. Lighted mirrors in bathrooms are a necessity since we all need light during washing, shaving or putting on make-up. They don’t have to be pretty and elegant. Nowadays, people have the tendency to use lighted wall mirrors in other parts of the house in a more creative and decorative way, giving an arty effect and a boost to the elegance of the place.

The bigger, the better

A reason for the evolution above is that lighted wall mirrors can be made at many sizes and shapes. You can have a small one with a little bulb on the top so as to watch yourself during shaving for instance, or you can have a big one wherever in your house giving an extraordinary effect in your own creative way. A large lighted wall mirror would need bigger lighting but the best part is that you can choose any kind and any colour of lighting you want. You can have one or many bulbs on the top of your mirror or even all around it. Neon lightning is also preferred for a pop art effect. Light can make a mirror much more useful but also a very elegant piece of decoration.

No more frames

Another advantage of this kind of wall mirror is that you do not have to worry about the frame. Most lighted mirrors have a very simple, yet elegant frame because they let the light do the rest of the decoration. Lightning can give any feeling you could possibly like and as a consequence, the frame is not so important. Wall mirrors with the frame been replaced by lights can be also found in the market.

Installation

Lighted wall mirrors may be very stylish but they have the disadvantage of their installation. You need to find a spot in your house that there is an electric socket so as an electrician can come and connect your mirror. This may be a little bit pricy but when you light up your mirror for the first time, you’re definitely going to feel that it was worth it. You should prefer environmental sufficient bulbs installed in order to save energy for the planet and money from your electric bill. You don’t have to worry about the lighting effect since it can be exactly the same or even better.

Lighted wall mirrors are really a sparkling decoration and you can have a big use out of them. Your home will surely brighten up and your guests will truly admire your house and your taste of style.

  1. Your whole wall mirror post is really sort of good quality and greatly improved than 50% the various other poor quality stuff I have read about wall mirrors in other blogs. What about removing a whole wall mirror? Do you have any tips?

  2. What a great resource! I am about to buy a lighted wall mirror for my house and I was wondering if I could find a solution using batteries. A quick search on the net didn’t help me, so I’d be grateful if you had the time to e-mail me some tips, links or anything you think that could help me finding a solution to have a lighted wall mirror that can go anywhere in the house. In addition to this, do you have any idea on how I could install on a whole wall mirror a lighted one? I am looking forward for your answer. Thank you for your time!
